Happy Bicycle Day & 4/20! Community Data on Research Priorities from MJUnpacked

The first intentional LSD experience by Dr. Albert Hoffmann was on April 19th and there’s no need to introduce 4/20 to this community. At MJUnpacked, NAP collected data at our booth on the top research priorities of the community and the results highlight the need for accelerated research on the lived experience of cannabis consumers.

MJUnpacked was an absolutely unreal experience and everyone loved our cardboard cut-outs of our pets, who were saying:

  • END THE SCIENCE STIGMA

  • SUPPORT INDEPENDENT CANNABIS RESEARCH

Meanwhile our cardboard cutouts were only up when we weren't at the booth and said “PROBABLY OUTSIDE SMOKING”!

We collected data on what people thought was the most important research priority (they could only choose one). Here are the results:

This data is misleading because a LOT of people wanted to put sticks in both Cannabis & Neurodiversity and Strain-Specific Effects (some people even balanced them on top).

We've had so many conversations so far this year about how our research is providing a unique perspective on cannabis use, specifically for high-needs medical patients with complex conditions, often daily consumers.

This is clearly an important research priority and a community that needs support and safe spaces to share these experiences.

If you support NAP’s mission of science advocacy, consider donating to independent cannabis research:
